The project adds 40,500 SF of additional retail and completely transforms  the center’s southern parcel from a secluded storm water detention parcel to an open modern retail parcel with recognized and highly sought after tenants,  With the cooperation of the Muhlenberg Township Authority, Muhlenberg Township, Berks County Commissioners, and Muhlenberg School District, significant regrading along 5th Street highway will be responsibly completed to  increase visibility of the shopping center and promote  expansion of the 5th Street Highway Revitalization Program.  The streetscape   will incorporate sidewalks, pedestrian lighting, benches, bike racks and landscaping consistent with the program objectives.  The enhancements were possible through the utilization of the property’s Adaptive Reuse Zoning and the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance.
